My 4 Stages in Time/ Energy Management

 

Planning Stage:

I do most of them when I am waiting for getting up, transportation, toilet time, appointments …

  • Proactive: Think, Plan, Ask Myself “ Why? What? How? When? Who? Where? …” the problem, vision, mission, goals …

  • Break down the tasks & Make a To Do List

  • Assessment: Rate the Value and Prioritise of EACH TASK. FIRST thing FIRST. I like this YouTube: The jar represents your life .
  • Rehearsal/Drill in My Brain: Plan the steps BEFORE taking Action

 

Preparation Stage:

  • System: Check My Productive Timeslots & Fill in My Timetable with SUITABLE TASKS. Body likes Routines.
  • Outsource: Hire or Look for helpers to do less important or less value tasks
  • Invest in & Master Your Tools: Sharpen the Saw (see below YouTube link)
  • Streamline: LESS is MORE (If 3 steps or 3 mins can finish the task, why do I do 5 steps or spend 5 mins?)

Working Stage:

  • Focus: No multitasking if I use the same brain or resources. Hiding from people. Switch off / Log off the communication devices or systems
  • Assertiveness: Have confidence & Be polite to tell other people I am not available now, then schedule or propose a time or Ask them to wait

 

Resting Stage:

  • Recharge: Allow myself to have rest, play or celebration after finishing some task(s)
  • Evaluation: Any areas I can Improve?
