A) The Time Out of My Wheelchair

People sometimes have limitation thought, especially when seeing people with physical disABILITIES. But the fact is that once the physical challenges, like how to get in and get out, modifying the equipment etc etc are sorted, they can still enjoy many activities like all normal people.  Through the sharing of the experience in the water and on the sailing boat, you can see that TM is not much difference from others. Hope this film can open the eyes for people with or without disABILITIES and encourage them to start their journey from the heart. Be creative, looking for new solutions for new problems, the future would be then be unlimited for your exploration.Handcycling, riding a horse, dancing in the water could not be something far away.

In addition, TM would like to use the film to give commendations to those who spent the time, the effort, the heart in helping and assisting people like her to experience what seems impossible. Without all of you, the lives of the disabilities cannot be as flourishing and thriving as they are now.

TM has no experience in filmmaking. She learnt the film editing in a 1.5 hours one to one Movie Making, Filming & Editing Training in a public library in mid 2017. This film is her first production. She wants to apply the technique in sharing her life in a visual way to encourage others.

In 2013, TM was travelling in the Northern Territories, on a working holiday visa, when she was involved in a horrific motor vehicle accident and suffered a C5 level of injury. She becomes tetraplegia and relies on support workers for her daily routine and powered wheelchair to go around every day. But she likes technology, exploring life in different aspects and encourages people to find their own paths. She starts her blog WelcomeToMyQueendom.com from mid 2017 to share her thought after her injury.

  1. Great, shows that there are people who care. We are not defined by our physical limitations!
