Fire extinguisher

During my rehabilitation, my physiotherapists worked with me to achieve different physical body goals such as breathing, gripping stuff, pulling arms by my bicep muscles and pushing arms by tricep muscles, sitting, rolling, pushing up, transferring between wheelchair and bed or car.

And my occupational therapists helped me to look for different solutions to be more independent such as using fork and spoon thus I can feed myself, made some splint to do my typing, made or used some gadget such as an insulated cup with big handle to hold drinks, found a special oval bowl to get food out easily with one hand, provided a rocket knife to cut food into small pieces, tried a pair of special scissors to cut with one hand, made a tap extension to turn the tap.

These sound easy to people with good control of arms, fingers and body movement. After my injury, I have 25% to 30% control left for my upper body and 0% for my lower body. To me, it takes time to practise and find my own way to master it. I always think that my physiotherapists and occupational therapists are my ignitor.
