Since I had my injury, my RIGHT limb is a lot weaker than my other side. I am NOT RIGHT again.
Luckily, I have another one, NOT RIGHT limb to do RIGHT things, e.g. gripping stuffs, brushing teeth, holding cups, using fork or spoon, holding books, holding my tablet, …..
I can still use my RIGHT hand for typing, but only use the little finger on its RIGHT side (next to the nail). And I chose to drive my power wheelchair with my RIGHT hand, so that I can hold a cup of beer. Yes! I can Drive and Drink. I don’t worry about my driving license, as I don’t need one. Are you jealous?
I met an Artist Emma Crafter during the SALA Festival 2017 at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre. One of her abstract artwork “Sinister Meets Dexter” is deeply in my mind. She shared that she created it with her Not Right upper hands when her Right upper limb was in pain and not in proper function during the early stage of her allergy to medications. Through this piece of artwork, I feel the fighting in people’s mind and body when they feel the pain and body Not in Right conditions.
